About the Marina

The Multihull Centre lies up the sheltered inlay of Millbrook Lake and round the back of the Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. The centre has become the leading multihull boatyard in the UK and largest multihull brokerage business in Europe. In addition to this it offers half tide quayside and pontoon berths and swinging moorings. Facilities for visitors are scarce, but there again it is primarily a working boatyard. The village of Millbrook has a few shops, a couple of pubs, fuel, and there are public transport links to Torpoint and Plymouth.

Marina Approaches

All shipping movements, both commercial and military are controlled by the ‘Long Room’ The Queens Harbour Master, on VHF Ch 13 & 14, call sign ‘Long Room Port control’.

The approach to the marina can be made either via the Bridge or the Drake Channel. The Bridge Channel is fairly narrow but well marked and and should only be attempted in favourable conditions and under power. Once past Devils Pt follow the line of PHB takes you round the headland of Cremyll Pt and to the mouth of the Millbrook Lake. The Multihull centre should not be confused for the Southdown Quay/Marina which are both located on the northern shores of the Millbrook Lake and the centre is about 3 cables further on from Southdown Quay.
