About the Marina

Having a 500 berth marina in the midst of a picturesque Devonshire fishing town lined with pastel shaded buildings is bound to attract visiting yachtsman from all over the Channel region. The harbour has a fleet of over a 100 distinctive and brightly coloured trawlers and moorings for about 600 leisure boats. A recipe for conflict in most harbours, but not in Brixham. The credit for this goes towards its management and organisation, where both business and pleasure coexist in harmony.
The Harbour offers a natural shelter from the SW winds, but the outer harbour lends itself to be totally exposed from the NW - hence the wave screen protecting the marina. This marina functions primarily as a berthing marina only, with no support services for yachts at all. However, being a popular location for rallies and other events, it has a Commercial Centre next to the
Events Pontoon which houses a decent chandlery and a restaurant bar.

Marina Approaches

Prior to entering the fairway, all vessels should contact the Brixham HM on VHF14 irrespective of where one intends to berth. Clear the head of the Victoria Breakwater by at least 200m, as a procession of wide beamed trawlers can suddenly emerge. From a point about 200m NW of the Victoria Breakwater, steer 159° down the buoyed/lit fairway. Enter the marina from the western entrance between the wave screen and the events pontoon, and not from the northern entrance since this fairway is reserved for the Brixham lifeboat.
