About the Marina

This marina is literally just next door to Shamrock Quay, and as such Saxon Wharf will attribute a few of its facilities towards its neighbour.

As a marina, its one MDL’s smallest, but in contrast its shore based facilities are designed to accommodate and service the needs of large super yachts up to 80m LOA and 200 tons. Indeed, the entire campus is a commercial trade centre focusing on large yachts. Although Shamrock Quay has no dedicated berths for visiting yachtsmen, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Saxon Wharf is unreceptive to visitors - far from it! Other than absorbing the overflow from Shamrock Quay, Saxon Wharf finds itself popular with those that just want peace and quiet.

Marina Approaches

The marina is about 1500m north of the Itchen road bridge. Coastal commercial traffic uses this stretch of the water quite frequently, so keep well to the starboard side of the Itchen and cross swiftly into the marina entrance.
