About the Marina

In a tranquil garden setting, with a large river frontage for easy mooring, this 200 berth is one of the most attractive marinas on the River Thames. There are no dedicated visitors berths here, so berthing is subject to the number of resident berth holders being away at the time. For using this marina as a base for things to do and places to see, its hard to know where to begin. Being a short bus ride away from Windsor means you have access to Windsor Castle - the Queen’s weekend residence, and you can walk around the magnificent perimeter buildings of Eton College. A similar distance away is Legoland whilst further afield is Ascot Race Course and Windsor Great Park where the royals like to play polo, and it’s one of the finest open country parks in the UK. With a days car hire, its worth going to Windsor Safari Park where you can drive through the lion enclosure and experience the baboons climbing all over the car. Windsor lies within the commuter belt of London and trains from Windsor frequently run to and from London Waterloo, making a day trip to London easily within reach.

Within the marina compound is the Windsor Yacht Club, which has a bar and can offer visitors lunch and evening meals. Otherwise there’s a pub about 500m to the south along Oakley Green Road, or alternatively, there’s another one about 1 km along the A308 Windsor Road towards Maidenhead, which happens to be next to a 24hr petrol station which sells essential items. For a decent shop for supplies there’s a Tesco store in Dedworth, about a 20 min walk away.

In-house service and support facilities include a crane dock with hard standing space and undercover storage, and engineering services with a small chandlery on site.

Marina Approaches

Windsor Marina is on the south bank of the River Thames, 3 miles upriver of Windsor Castle. 1 mile after Boveney lock enter the marina to port. From upstream, pass through Maidenhead and Bray’s flowery lock, under the M4, past Monkey Island, Bray Marina and Queen’s Eyot. Windsor Marina is to the starboard 1 mile ahead.
