Fox’s marina is one of six marinas on the River Orwell, located up the Ostrich Creek about a mile south of the Ipswich Town Centre. The marina’s been in business since 1927 and prides itself on its repair and refit facilities for both motor and sail craft. These include several workshops, a spray booth, an osmosis centre, plus specialist engineering and electrical services.
In 2009, it opened a brand new chandlery and outdoor store which claims to be the largest on the East Coast. The marina benefits from full tidal access and can accommodate yachts up 21m LOA and it has enough stowage capacity for 200 vessels. In addition, there’s a regular bus service from the marina into the town of Ipswich.
